Dublin is also home to our internal service organisation Accenture Business Services (ABS) which provides services to Accenture across a wide range of internal processes, including Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Marketing and Communications, Facilities and Services, and Information Technology. We now have over 4,500 shared services professionals working across our global network of centers in Bangalore, Buenos Aires, Chennai, Chicago, Dalian, Dublin, Prague, Manila, Mumbai and Pune.
Accenture‘s Business Services manages the consolidation and redesign of administration and support business processes into service centers. Our objective is to deliver the optimum in cost-effective, high quality services to Accenture. Our mandate is to unify, re-engineer and continuously improve these processes for Accenture. We are responsible for driving global standard methodologies, tools and architecture for internal operations, and for driving cost and process efficiencies.
In addition to being an internal service organisation, ABS is a client showcase demonstrating Accenture as a high performance business hosting hundreds of client visits for international clients, including many of Accenture‘s Diamond clients. This is a unique sales tool where we take clients to see first-hand the realities of running a shared services operation – from startup through stabilization to reinvention. The mindset of what can be done in shared services is frequently outdated, and too often the perceived benefit is restricted by a focus on wage arbitrage. ABS helps support client wins by showcasing how the next generation of shared services organizations can go beyond transaction processing to take a key role in driving global business transformation by working across business functions to drive strategic cross-enterprise collaboration and change.
Accenture has also recently opened The Accenture Analytics Innovation Centre in Dublin which is a showcase for Accenture’s predictive analytics capabilities and their ability to help the C-suite meet its most pressing objectives. The Centre will initially focus on the development of sophisticated analytics solutions to address customer insight and compliance challenges facing Accenture’s clients today.
